Explore five periods of art: Ancient, Renaissance, Impressionism, Cubism, and Modern.
Use pencils, papers, colored pencils, collage materials, crayons, oil pastels, watercolor paints,
and tempera paints to create artwork inspired by each of these periods in time.
We will be drawing our self-portraits, sponge painting, creating collages, and more. Along with creating, we
will learn about these art styles and the elements of art. At the beginning of every class, we will
spend 5-7 minutes free-drawing, have a 5-minute lesson on the art style, create our art and at
the end of class explore the elements of art a bit more.
